Understanding Vietnam E-Visa Fees: Government Fee vs Service Fee

Two separate charges make up the price you pay. Knowing which is which tells you what you are actually comparing between providers.

Quoted prices vary widely between providers, and the reason is usually that they bundle two very different things.

The government fee

Set by the immigration authority and identical wherever you apply. It varies by visa type — single entry costs less than multiple entry, and 30 days less than 90.

The service fee

What a provider charges for preparing, checking and submitting the application, and for handling any follow-up. This is where prices differ, and where processing speed is priced in.

Extra services

Airport fast track, car pickup and document courier are separate line items. They are genuinely useful for some trips and unnecessary for others — read what each one includes.

Comparing fairly

When you compare two quotes, check whether the government fee is included and which processing tier the price refers to. A headline number for standard processing is not comparable with an urgent quote.
